Quickly, cheap, comfortable – a wooden house fully has these qualities compared to concrete and stone buildings. The one that you decided to build outside the city, far from noise and fuss.
What type of wood to choose? Modern wooden houses are built from simple or galled logs, massive (solid) or glued beams, frame or frame-chips. Each of the listed species has its advantages and disadvantages.
The construction of a house from simple logs will cost less than other types of wood – this is its advantage. But a lot will have to work hard with the cutting of the walls, at least a year to wait for the finish of the house, additionally herself herself in a year and a half, all the seams, take care of the interior decoration.
A house made of a gallected log is technologically very convenient, but shrinkage also cannot be avoided. As it dries in the wood, cracks appear through which heat is lost. This requires additional costs for the interior decoration of walls and partitions.
Houses from timber – massive (whole) or glued are built with less labor costs. However, the massive beam has poor wind insulation, it is necessary to re -pure the seams, additionally insulate.
A completely different picture of houses from glued beams. Wooden houses built using this technology will last several hundred years. This is possible thanks to the extreme strength achieved by high -quality drying of wood and its gluing. The walls of such a house from the beam do not give shrinkage. Glued beam does not form cracks, the glue between the layers of wood serves as an additional heat insulator. Glued beams have good wind insulation and high fire resistance due to wood processing with special means. It is not necessary to finish the house from it, it does not change its shape during operation, its weight is much less than stone, which means that a massive foundation is not required.
Thanks to these qualities, the construction of a house, baths or cottages from glued beams will cost cheaper than other types of wood.
