What type of wood to choose? Modern wooden houses are built from simple or galled logs, massive (solid) or glued beams, frame or frame-chips. Each of the listed species has its advantages and disadvantages.
The construction of a house from simple logs will cost less than other types of wood – this is its advantage. It is not necessary to finish the house from it, it does not change its shape during operation, its weight is much less than stone, which means that a massive foundation is not required.
Thanks to these qualities, the construction of a house, baths or cottages from glued beams will cost cheaper than other types of wood.
