Brick is one of the oldest building materials from all the abundance of modern materials used today for the construction of houses. Therefore, everything new is, as we know, well forgotten, and maybe not completely forgotten old. Brick is a material that is tested by time.

Today, there are a variety of bricks in color and quality. The type of brick obtained depends on the method of its molding. There are two main types obtained by forming plastic and pressing dry mass. You can purchase a brick in Moscow in any construction store or base, as well as using the Internet, analyzing the price and quality of the elected type. The first type of brick is a semi -dry press, where a dry clay mass is sent under the press. To reduce the weight of such bricks, it is made with hike voids that do not pass through through. With plastic molding, brick is made of mass with humidity up to 20%. This mass is squeezed out by a continuous timber, which is then cut into bricks. These bricks are dried to firing, since this type of brick when drying decreases in volume, which is associated with the evaporation of moisture. This type of brick is used for the construction of structures, where increased humidity or water is supposed to.

Recently, the production of colored and curly brick has been established. Silicate brick is obtained from a mixture of quartz sand with lime at high temperature and pressure. Although the strength of silicate brick does not differ from the strength of ceramic, it has its own characteristics that must be taken into account when determining the area of its application. Silicate brick has greater thermal conductivity than ceramic brick, less frost resistance and water resistance, so such brick should not be used for basements or foundation.
