Times change along with wages and prices in stores, and the ruble exchange rate does not stand still either. Trying to adapt to such changes, many are looking for higher-paying jobs and changing their field of activity.
As a rule, people from small towns go to work in large cities, since it is easier to find suitable work there.
The most popular in terms of job search are large regional centers or the capital. Some people go to seek their fortune in distant regions with a harsh climate, working there on a rotational basis.
Separately, in this regard, we can highlight an option that is not as popular as in previous years – work abroad. Since the late 90s, many have been able to search for new vacancies abroad, usually in Western European countries.
Various “shady” companies were engaged in employment, which in most cases was a common deception, but not always. Some firms really helped find work abroad.
How are things now?
A lot has changed. The Internet became available, and everyone who was interested learned the details about such work. Difficulties with paperwork, the language barrier and a lot of scammers at each step of such employment began to scare off those wishing to work abroad, so most of these employment agencies closed. Now it is somewhat more difficult to go abroad to work than before. I will not undertake to discuss the advisability of such an option for earning money, especially since the reasons may be different.
