Cottage and site
The decorative design of the summer cottage, first of all, includes its decoration with floral compositions, beautiful shrubs and trees.
There are 2 main design styles: free – when decorative trees are placed according to the type of natural plantings, and geometric – when trees, shrubs, flower beds and paths are placed in straight lines. When designing a site in a geometric style, flower beds, it is best to give oval and round shape. If you want to arrange your summer cottage in a free style, then the flower beds should give the outlines of arbitrary shapes, make garden paths with winding; Decorative trees and shrubs plant in groups.
The choice of style solution has some nuances. So, for example, if the ennobled area is small in size, then the symmetrical arrangement of the elements can cause unnecessary pressure on such a small area. If the design of the site implies exclusively free style, then such a solution may not create the desired effect in full. Therefore, in this case, both styles are best used at the same time.
The main part, as a rule, attracts the greatest attention – this is a section of the cottage immediately in front of the facade of the house. Such a place should be occupied with a decorative shrub and flower beds. On the one hand, this will decorate the entrance to your house, and on the other, it will protect your home from street dust, and sometimes from noise.
In order to effectively decorate the summer cottage with flowers, a large assortment of plants is not always required. It is optimal – to choose flowers that are not very whimsical and grow well in areas, the courtship of which does not provide much difficulty, and the decorativeness of which remains throughout the country season. Such perennial flowers as phloxes, chrysanthemums, primrose, and t. D. remain beautiful even after flowering. The greatest attention among annual and biennial plants deserve asters, alissums, petunias, lion’s pharynx, nasturtium, calendula; They bloom abundantly for a rather long time, and also endure the transplant. Bulbal and tuber flowers are very popular and favorite by summer residents. As a rule, tulips, lilies, hyacinths, gladioli and crocuses do not grow very well in the landings of mixed ones, therefore, they should be planted separately.
The most important thing in the flower arrangement is to choose plants for the design of the site, taking into account their requirements for illumination, soil and moisture, their compatibility. The lowest flowers are planted in the fore, high are planted from behind or on the north side.
Before planting plants, it is necessary to consider what their color combination will be. In addition, do not forget about the timing of plant flowering – the composition is constantly in the “dynamics” – some plants are just starting to bloom, others bloom at the moment, and others are ending their flowering.
